What should be paid attention to when welding gantry cranes

1. When welding a gantry crane, the first step is to understand the welding process parameters of the gantry crane. Choose 3 for the bottom layer. Use 2mm J557 welding rod with a welding current of 110A, and switch to 4mm J557 welding rod for each layer in the future with a current of 130-160A. Use DC reverse connection for power supply.
1. When opening the groove of the equipment, it should be noted that after replacing the gantry crane teeth, V-shaped grooves with a depth of about 12mm should be opened on both sides of the joint between the tooth root and the cast steel substrate.
2. Choose appropriate welding process materials, only suitable materials can meet the needs of use. Use low hydrogen and crack resistant J557 welding rods as welding materials.
4. Be careful not to have cracks when welding. Bake J557 welding rod at 350 ℃ for 1 hour before welding; Preheat the welding area to around 300 ℃ with a flame; Adopting continuous arc vertical welding, multi-layer and multi pass welding, pay attention to coating the remaining unwelded tooth surfaces with yellow mud or other materials before welding the gantry crane; After each welding rod is welded, immediately hammer the weld bead to relieve stress, and clean the hammer for each weld bead; During welding, pay attention to the interlayer temperature not being lower than 300 ℃ until it reaches the height of the substrate before the groove is opened; After welding, cover with asbestos cloth for insulation and slow cooling for 8 hours, and then use an angle grinder to polish and tidy the welding area.
